What is Terracycle?
TerraCycle is Eliminating the Idea of Waste® by recycling the "non-recyclable." Whether it's coffee capsules from your home, pens from a school, or plastic gloves from a manufacturing facility, TerraCycle can collect and recycle almost any form of waste.

Points programme
As a registered collector in partnership with Terracycle, we are able to divert millions of pounds of waste from landfills and incinerators each week, month and year!
Through the free programmes we are registered for, we are rewarded with TerraCycle points for qualifying waste. These points are redeemable for a cash payment to the non-profit organisation or school of our choice. Obviously we nominate the proceeds to go towards the up keep of the bats; however, some funds are also redeemed for the Firefighters Charity and also to some small community groups that help with collecting large quantities of qualifying waste.
As part of the free recycling programmes we have set up 2 public drop-off locations; New Malden Fire Station and Steve's home address in Reigate. There is a third drop off point in Leatherhead, but this is not publically advertised.
You, the public, can use interactive maps to find these locations and drop off your specific TerraCycle® waste.

There are lots of free collection programmes available through Terracycle, however we are only signed up to the six listed below. Clicking the links will take you to the respective page on the Terracycle website to explain exactly what is collected
- The Tassimo® & L'OR® Recycling Programme - this is a special collection and there are crates outside New Malden Fire Station where bags and boxes of Tassimo pods can be left neatly. All enquiries please use contact details above.

- Any L’OR coffee capsules
- Kenco Eco Refill packs
- Kenco plastic coffee jar lids

Accepted Waste:
Only Pringles® tubes, the seal and plastic lids are accepted in this programme.
Please note we do not accept any crisp packets or other types of tubes in this scheme

Accepted Waste:
We accept any brand of biscuit, cracker and cake wrappers such as digestives, rich tea etc. This includes the likes of Penguin's etc but not chocolate bars like Mars, Snickers etc, or the inside plastic tray as they are made from a different material.
The Pet Food Recycling Programme

The following types of plastic pet food packaging are accepted in the programme:
- All wet pet food pouches
- All pet treat flexible plastic packaging and pouches
- All dry pet food flexible plastic packaging
Please note that the following types of plastic pet food packaging are NOT accepted in the programme:
- Cans
- Cardboard packaging
- Paper packaging
- Hard plastic packaging
- Plastic bottles
Most of the items in this list can be recycled by most household recycling
collections.
The Crisp Packet Recycling Scheme

Any brand of crisp packets are accepted in this scheme.
Please note that the following types of waste are NOT accepted in this scheme:
- Popcorn bags
- Crisp tubes
- Pretzel bags
- Meat snack bags

The following types of oral care products and packaging are accepted in the programme:
- Any brand of toothpaste tubes and caps
- Any brand of toothbrush outer packaging
- Any brand of toothpaste cartons
- Any brand of electric and battery toothbrush heads
- Any brand of plastic toothbrushes
- Any brand of floss containers and outer packaging
Please note that the following types of oral care products and packaging are NOT accepted in the programme:
- Any toothbrushes not made from plastic
- Interdental brushes
- Battery operated toothbrushes
- Dental floss (string)
- Mouthwash plastic bottles
- Breath sprays
- Denture adhesives packaging
- Denture tablets packaging
- Denture cream tubes
- Outer packaging that did not contain toothbrushes or dental floss
- Cartons that did not contain toothpaste
- Tubes that did not contain toothpaste
- Toothpaste pumps
- Toothache kits
