Welcome to the web site of Surrey Bat Rescue. Registered with the Surrey Bat Group and the Bat Conservation Trust as Bat Carers, we are a small network of individuals working from our homes, as close to 24/7 as we can, to rescue, rehabilitate sick, injured and orphaned bats within the county of Surrey.
Once through the care process and after assessment they are released back to the wild where they belong
Have you found a bat? Has your cat brought in a bat? Have you got a bat flying around inside your home? - Then click here to find out what to do
If you find a bat on the ground, on an outside wall during the day, or in exposed area where it may be vulnerable; it needs assessing and probably taking into care.
If you have a pet that brings in a bat, the bat will need urgent medical attention even if it does not look injured or hurt.
In both these cases the bat should be contained in a box and you should call us, Surrey Bat Rescue on 07910108525 (if you are in Surrey obviously) or the Bat Conservation Trust's Bat Helpline on 0345 1300 228 for further advice.
NEVER handle bats with bare hands, ALWAYS use gloves or a cloth to transfer a bat to a suitable container.
The bat will need to be contained to keep it safe till help arrives, so click here and follow these easy steps to contain it
